Dear HavaHug Friends and Family,

As you know firsthand, wading through the countless listings and finding your fur baby through the internet is a tricky thing. While it opens up so many doors to us, it can also be very difficult to determine who we can, and cannot, trust. I have decided to create this testimonial page in hopes of giving future clients a bit more insight into HavaHug Havanese. :)

I've gotten to know each of you fairly well through this process. Your impression, and your opinion, matters a great deal to me. If you would like to take a moment to share, I'd be very grateful!

We just got our precious baby from HavaHug. This is our second havanese. We lost our first one this year unexpectedly. I searched breeders and feel so Blessed to have found HavaHug. From my first contact I could tell how knowledgeable Jessica was and how caring. It has been a wonderful experience for my family! Winnie(our new addition) is the sweetest, cutest, smartest thing on 4 paws! Couldn't be happier to have a precious baby from HavaHug. Jessica is the BEST!!!!:)

We received our adorable baby chocolate havanese a few weeks ago and are completely in love!! Teddy is just perfect. Playful, sweet, cuddly, great with my kids, loves to travel in the car,.....just a complete joy!
I knew after just a few minutes of talking with jessica that she was who I would buy my havanese from. She is so knowledgable, easy to talk to, not pushy at all, and just loves the havanese breed...and all of her dogs and puppies.
After putting a puppy on hold before it was even born from her, I continued to do research on breeders which made me even more confident in my decision....I simply did not find one that could even come close! Jessica kept me updated almost daily on the progress of our puppy. She sent THE BEST pictures and videos so I knew exactly what I was getting, since I live in MA and needed to have Teddy shipped. And of course when I picked him up from the airport it was like I already knew him. He bonded instantly as well! No problems whatsoever! He has made himself right at home:) We just love him! Thank you Jessica for being such a loving a caring pet owner and loving your puppies...it really shows!!

Jessica is the best! We are first time dog owners and she sent us videos and photos of our puppy, Cali, weekly so we could see her grow up. We were very nervous about having our puppy flown to us all the way from Michigan to California, but she did a great job preparing Cali for her flight. Cali arrived happy to see us and when we got home, she went straight to the potty box and went to the bathroom! It was so nice to have Cali brought up knowing how to use the potty box as it made it an easier transition to potty training at home (since we live in a condo). It’s actually a really affordable way to potty train, too! Much better than icky potty pads that get your puppies feet wet with pee!
Jessica continues to be a great resource for the many questions we have and is always punctual with her responses. She loves her dogs and all of the puppies so much and did a great job raising Cali. Cali came to us used to loud noises (we have construction going on in our building and it doesn’t phase her), easy to groom since she was accustomed to this growing up, and is just a happy and confident pup. She is so smart, sweet, and quiet…she’s not a barker, which we like! We love our new pup so much and we would recommend Jess to anyone interested in adding a Havanese to their family!

Hello, Jessica! I would love to meet more fur parents here through your website. That is the main reason why I came here on your website. At the same time, I want to read more tips on how to be a good fur parent. I just decided to have a dog last month, and I admit that there are days I regret that I entered that phase. But I am already here and I need to make a stand. At the same time, if something makes you genuinely happy, you should never let go of it, isn't it?

We took home a few weeks ago one of Jessica's puppies and I can't tell you how we pleased we are. Our puppy is very happy and easily adjusted to his new home. Jessica did a fabulous job with him before we got him. Much to our surprise he was house trained with little stress and work. These are very smart dogs and love to be loved, praised and just want to be a part of the family. They are very special dogs and belong in homes that appreciate how special her dogs are. Great job Jessica!

We got our precious Henry 4 weeks ago from Jessica! Not only is Henry a beautiful puppy but the care and the love from Jessica as his breeder could not be more amazing, special and a relief as a first time puppy owner. Now at 12 weeks tomorrow, he is amazing us with the funniest things he is doing and he is learning so very fast. For anyone considering a new Havanese puppy go no further, Jessica is the only breeder to chat with. She goes above and beyond to keep you posted with texts, pictures and updates as the process goes. Any concerns or fears, set them aside you are in great hands with lots of love for these puppies. The training she provides with the litter box is a savior for your home or work, these little guys know what to do! They bring such fun and joy into your life! I can not thank you enough times Jessica and Henry sends his love too!

My family and I truly can't recommend Jessica and Havahug puppies enough!!! We have had our precious Bentley for almost 3 months now. When we got him he was already litter trained and was very well adjusted to people and other dogs. He was a sweetheart from day one. You could tell he was well loved and cared for. He's a gorgeous puppy and a true blessing to our family. Jess goes above and beyond in all she does. She constantly updated us on Bentleys progress and sent videos and pictures all the time. We felt like we knew him even when we picked him up for the first time. If your looking for a reputable breeder who is very knowledgeable and caring, look no further. Jess still keeps in touch with us and she truly loves all of these sweet babies like her own. She's honestly the best ...A++++++++

Let me start off by saying that I am a first-time dog owner. I did a ton of research on breeds which quickly brought me to the Havanese breed itself... which is fabulous!. Sweet, confident, wanting to please, non-shedding, hypoallergenic, easily trained and purr-fect companions... especially with traveling! After narrowing down the breed I began research on breeders. I was unable to find any breeders along the east coast that came close to the care and love given by Jessica at Havahug. I scoured her website and devoured each photo and video that she posted on her site as well as Facebook. My husband and I put in our "order" for our new family member and months later were introduced via photos and videos to our little girl, Maisa. We eagerly anticipated each growth update and truly bonded hearts with each picture and video. Jessica was extremely accommodating with our schedule and kept Maisa for an extra five weeks until we could road trip out to pick her up. This sweet little ball of fur has been a true gift of love that has brought laughter and a fullness to our lives that I cannot explain. Knowing that she was so well loved and cared for from birth until the day we received her has allowed her to have just the sweetest spirit ever! If anyone is looking to bring a Havanese into their lives there really is just no where else to look. Oh and besides the fabulous care Jessica gives to all of her puppies, she kindly has answered all of my questions and guided me through all areas of puppy/dog owning. My husband and I just adore our Maisa and feel blessed to have found Jessica and Havahug!

I decided in about March of 2016 that it was finally time to get my daughters the puppy that they had been asking for. I myself had only had Labs growing up in my parents house and this was going to be my "first" dog as well. We were familiar with the Havanese breed and knew this would be the perfect dog for our lifestyle. I started googling breeders and after researching for some time, looking at pictures, and even talking to breeders I knew that when I found Jess from HAVAHUG she was the one that I wanted to deal with. There was something exceptional about not only her dogs but Jess herself. Even though I have two children I felt like I was an expecting new mom and Jess held my hand throughout the whole process. She was so accommodating and very prompt and thorough when answering all my questions. I put my name on the HAVAHUG list in April of 2016 and received my little fur baby in December of 2016 and my Hollie was well worth the wait!!!!!! Choosing the right breeder is just as important as choosing the right puppy for your family. I would and have already recommended Jess at HAVAHUG to anyone that asks and I am forever grateful to the relationship I have with Jess and of course for my Hollie!!

I found Jessica and Havahug in January 2016, after we lost our first havanese and decided we were ready to move on and get another. We didn't want white because it would remind us too much of our first, which led me to search for other colors. Jessica is AMAZING. She sends many, many photos and videos as your puppy grows, is great with contact before and after you get your puppy, and our dog, Willy, is simply amazing. He just turned 1 on January 1, 2017, and continues to fill our lives with love and laughter (he is a total goofball!). I flew into Detroit from Seattle to pick him up and stayed at the hotel that is connected to the airport, and she and her husband and daughter met me there the next morning to deliver Willy to us. She teared up when handing him over. She truly cares about these little guys and girls, and I am still in contact with her. Couldn't recommend her more highly.

Once I settled on wanting a Havanese, I did much research on reputable breeders. Being a senior citizen, this puppy would be my
last and I was going to have to make this purchase over the internet. Scary. I didn't have a moments hesitation and was extremely impresssed with Jessica Clark---she was knowledgeable about the breed and she didn't appear to be into breeding the Havanese for the financial benefit. She gave off a vibe of honesty, trust and reassurance. She never hesitate to answer all my questions and concerns. She also seemed to be selective as to who her puppies would go to. Trixie Belle has been the light of my life who was born shiny black with four white paws and a white chest. Much to my delight, she began changing colors from black mixed in with silver gray! She is miss personality plus with such expressive eyes! Her antics and the tilt of her head keep me laughing all day long. Such fun! She has an ability to regulate her energy level to the people surrounding her at the time, be it seniors such as myself or my four busy Grandchildren ages 10 and 11. The fact that Trixie was familiar with the litter box was a hugh plus, as well, thanks to Jessica's diligence and instructions. I would purchase from HavaHug & Jessica again with no hesitation. Jessica and her family breed the finest hand raised socially adapted intelligent kind and funnest companions that we have ever had in our home. The haba Hug havanese dogs are very special and if you are fortunate enough to have one join your family, you will love every minute of their companionship. We take Merlin everywhere with us and wherever he goes everyone falls in love with him. He is pure joy. 🐾🐾❤️

I wanted to write a review for Jessica And havahug!! We received our beautiful, CJ about two weeks ago. I cannot say enough good things about this little puppy.

Jessica, from the very start, was so easy to work with. She sent lots of pictures, answered numerous questions via email, and sent videos about once a week while we were waiting. She was in constant contact with us and when our gotcha day finally arrived, She left her house at 3:30 in the morning to bring our little guy to the airport to fly him home from Michigan to Long Island, New York.

He came home and a cute little travel crate with two blankets and food and water- safe and sound. He is a real life teddy bear!!! 🐻

Her website is very informative and she is very knowledgeable. The puppy came home litter box trained and I can’t say enough about this. Our little puppy has not had one accident in our house since coming home. He slept through the night from day two ...sometimes from 930 at night to 930 in the morning and waits to go out in the morning.

He is the tiniest Little guy who absolutely adores our Labrador Twinkie. He’s very laid-back, super gentle and we just love him to pieces. If we ever get another pup in the future,We will be using Jessica again! Thank you so much for our little bundle of joy!

After doing a lot of research and visiting other havanese breeders webpages, we found Jessica and Havahug Havanese. I knew we found the right one. From my first email with Jessica I realized how professional she was but most importantly how much love she gives to all her dogs and what she does. Jessica kept us informed throughout the whole process. And when the puppies were born and we picked ours, she kept us updated with emails, pictures, and videos of the beautiful puppies. Our amazing Mocha arrived to Houston, Texas by airplane. We picked her up at the airport at the time we were told she would arrived. She was happy, alert, and clean. We couldn't have expected the experience to be any easier than what is was. It has been a dream having Mocha with us for a year now. Since the moment she arrived she has only filled our lives with so much love and puppy eyes! She is incredible smart and gentle. We can not imagine not having her with us. If we had to do it all over again, we wouldn't think twice and would choose Jessica and her amazing dogs..... in fact we might actually do ; )

My husband I are are so impressed with Jessica's care and love for her pups. She makes the transition easier by litter box training and socializing them. Jessica is so patient and helpful to her anxious parents-to-be. She is very responsive to your questions or concerns. You can tell by her wonderful website that she wants you to be well informed so that you'll feel confident buying a little one over the internet. She keeps you up-to-date with pupdates and pictures all along the way.

We've had Honeysuckle (Maddie) for two days and she is doing great! She is acclimating well to her new surroundings and is an absolute joy! She is so sweet, smart and generous with her kisses and entertaining antics. We absolutely love her!

I lost my fifteen year old Dog in April of 2019. I have a twelve year old Blue Heeler who missed his brother. I knew I wanted another dog but it was very important to me that it was the right fit for everyone in the house. I was familiar with Havanese because my Aunt has one, I felt this was a good possibility for me. I went online and researched many breeders in the Midwest. When I found Havahug I contacted Jessica and explained my situation she was so kind and understanding and truly listened to my needs and explained in great detail how she raises her puppies and what I could expect. Cooper was born in May of 2019, from that moment on Jessica sent me a weekly emails with many photos and updates on his development and personality. At about six weeks she sent a video of him playing with his litter mates and more photos. When I drove to pick him up I was greeted by her family and handed the most beautiful loving happy healthy puppy I’d ever seen. I felt like I knew him because of all the communication and updates I received throughout the process. These puppies are loved and cared for so well it’s almost unbelievable. They are so loving and snuggly but at the same time love to play and run with the big dogs, they are magical and truly special and Jessica and her family are a very big part of that. I will absolutely purchase another Havahug Havanese when the time is right for us. Thank you Jessica for giving us Cooper, my family loves him so much, he is an amazing dog.

I introduced my parents to the havanese brews 2 years ago when I learned about them while living in Manhattan. I have always wanted a chocolate one and found Jessica on Instagram! I was at the point in my life where I was ready to have my own. With my family already owning 2, I was very particular with the personality, size, and temperament. Jessica was more than accommodating with helping me make the right decision. She was always super prompt with answering my questions. She never rushed me to make a decision and made a very helpful puppy guide for when I received Poppy Seed Sprinkles (My puppy)! I also had her fly Poppy to me as driving was not an option. There were no issues with the flight, and she did not seem affected at all with the travel! Poppy was happy as clam and her disposition has not changed since I’ve had her. She is currently almost 9 months old and I can not be more happy with my purchase!!! Poppy is SUPER social with other dogs, people, and children. She’s also super quiet/calm and only barks to alert me if someone is at the door. She is also an AMAZING travel companion! I fly with her to New York every other month, and she is the most well behaved dog on rail trains, planes, cars, bikes, and subways! Poppy is also incredibly smart! She was number 1 in her puppy school for training, close heel leash trained, and is potty trained to outside, pee pads, and faux turf (still struggling with carpets though). Poppy is not just a dog to me but a baby in my family. Jessica and I also still stay in contact with one another through Poppy’s Instagram account @poppyseedsprinkles ! Poppy is 100% one of the BEST purchases I have ever made. If I ever decide to get her a sibling I would definitely be a repeat customer to Havahug!

I lost my Deuce (12 year old havanaese) to a seizure in 2017. I really miss him and would like to have another baby boy in the house.
I would like to know your pricing, if there will be a litter spring of 2021, and where you are located.
I’d prefer to have a pup in the spring so we can get to know one another in warmer weather since I am a hermit crab in the winter :-).

I received Ginger a few days before Thanksgiving 2020 and am VERY happy with her. She will be quite a bit larger than my other Havanese (older puppy) and is very healthy and happy.
I never thought I would use a litter box for a dog, but because of potty training in the winter, I decided to try it. She is now almost 4 months old and has only had one accident in the house - at the door preparing to go out! She is also great with my grandkids and seems quite smart and very self-confident. Thank you for a wonderful puppy!!!

We are interested in a female Havanese puppy. I have been looking at breeders for sometime and your testimonials are all so wonderful. We are not in a big hurry, possibly 2022. We live in Northern California so we would need to transport by air. Also what is your cost for a Havanese puppy? I just love their look and also I have been around a few Havanese and love their personalities.

I have had large dogs my whole life, but I decided to go with a small dog at this stage of my life. Having had and bred dogs, I had a pretty good idea of what I was looking for in a breeder, that is why I chose Jessica and Chris, and Havahug. Their integrity and knowledge of the breed and training methods are impressive, and have come in so handy, and our sweet Lacey is everything she was promised to be, sweet,intelligent, loving, playful and easy to train. I was taken back, and somewhat dubious about our puppy being litter box trained, but she uses the litter box like a little champ. The website contains a wealth of information, and Jessica’s communication and willingness to go the extra mile in helping us through the puppy adoption process was amazing. We adore our little Lacey, and , hopefully, we will be getting and Havahug baby in the not-so-distant future-wouldn’t think of looking elsewhere.

Picking a breeder online is nerve wracking— especially one thousands of miles away. But we are so happy we went with HavaHug.
Jessica is super communicative and truly cares about her puppies. She constantly sends photos and videos and really makes sure they grow up in a loving and caring environment. Not only was Aries in tip-top shape when he arrived, but Jessica had started potty training him and he hasn’t had a single accident since his arrival. Super impressed. Our only regret is we only got one puppy from HavaHug!

We lost our Lab in 2006. A couple of years ago I decided that we need a dog. Being seniors, I felt a smaller dog would be better for us. I did my research and found HavaHug. I fell in love and joined the waiting list. The message came and we were offered a little girl whose original family could not take at that time. Our daughter flew from California to pick her and bring her home the same day. When my daughter placed Autumn in my hands i knew it was ment to be. A couple of days later we were at the vet. The vet was so impressed with our spunky Autumn that shwanted to have more information about the breeder

We brought home our sweet Havahug puppy just recently and we are in love! Jessica did a great job sending pictures and giving us updates as our pup grew up. From the moment we got him home, it was clear that he had been well socialized and raised with love. He loves everyone, is very calm (well other than wild puppy zoomies) and is unphased by everything—he was even calm during the 5 hour ride home from picking him up. He is such a sweet, smart guy-learning quickly to ask to go out to potty. He loves people and always wants to be part of everything-a very social and well adjusted pup! This had everything to do with the fantastic start he got from Jessica at Havahug. We are so thankful that we found Havahug, and highly recommend this outstanding breeder!!!

We love our “Praline”. Seems happy and healthy. However I wonder why you did not reply to me when I asked you how big her parents were so I can judge her size.?

Hi Linda, :)
We are so happy to hear that you love your Praline and that, at two years old, she is happy and healthy! I just wanted to let you know that I have never intentionally not responded to a client’s question. So, if you asked me about her parents size, and I didn’t respond, it would have been something that I missed.
I receive a large number of messages everyday and so that is not impossible, but I don’t see it ever being asked in any of our written communication. That being said, if I did somehow miss this question, my apologies.
The fact is that the havanese can vary in weight and we do have some larger and smaller sizes within our HavaHug family. Some families prefer the smaller and some prefer the larger. For others, it's not a concern at all and they just want a healthy pup.

I can’t say enough about how well Jessica and family take care of these puppies and set them up for their forever homes.

I am a previous Havanese owner, and when I decided to get my second I was overwhelmed with the options available. It can be difficult to pick a breeder without having any past experience or direct recommendations, but I can say that I would not hesitate to recommend HavaHug to anyone!! The quality care and love that is given to these puppies is so apparent, not only in the pictures and videos from the day they’re born, but even in bringing my puppy home and how well he has adapted.

I’m so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to bring home my sweet baby dog, and I feel like I’ve won the puppy jackpot!!

We brought our precious Otto home a few days ago and could not be more in love. He is gentle, calm, sweet, gorgeous and very chill. Chris and Jessica were wonderful and it’s obvious how much they love their babies. They sent us picture and video updates weekly. It was touching to see how attached they were when we picked our baby up from the airport. They prepared Otto well for his new home. He is in tip top shape and adapting to potty training well. You will not regret getting a HavaHug baby!
